Whether it be a brand new BUILD-YOUR-OWN-RETREAT or by incorporating PROGRAM TIME into your already scheduled retreat, Pilgrim Pines' certified facilitators will ensure safety and motivate your group to explore issues such as team dynamics, communication, goal setting, trust and commitment. Our skilled facilitators will provide a custom design for your program based on the goals of your organization and your anticipated outcomes.
Pilgrim Pines uses as “Challenge by Choice” approach that enables each participant to understand that they can measure their own success by their personal individual standards and goals. All team members are vital to the group’s overall success by offering support to each individual
- TEAM BUILDING—movement, fun activities, get acquainted games, group skills to allow learning on-the-spot decision making, effective group dynamics, problem solving, innovative thinking, teambuilding, and leadership.
- LABYRINTH-a natural stone, simple path labyrinth. Our staff can provide a guided experience or you can reserve the space for your own program needs.
- ARCHERY—experienced instructors will work with your group to teach and strengthen archery skills
- LOW ROPES—seven low elements in a beautiful mountain setting are performed close to the ground and gradually increase in difficulty. Team development, effective communication, and leadership concepts are taught through a series of action-based learning activities.
- CLIMBING WALL/ZIP LINE—40 foot three faced wall complete with an incline, decline, and vertical playpen ending with a zip line experience. Certified staff belay each individual while team members provide support and encouragement from the ground. The multiple challenges develop trusts, concentration, commitment and a sense of accomplishment.
- HIGH ROPES—five elements at a height of 40 feet. Participants wear safety harnesses and helmets and are on a secure belay by certified facilitators. Individual learn they can overcome obstacles in their life and set achievable goals while confronting their fears. The non-threatening, supportive environment aids in learning persistence and hard work and experiencing a sense of accomplishment.
- HIKING—several trails are available. Sign out/sign in at the office is required.
SWIMMING POOL (open Memorial Day through Labor Day)—outdoor pool may be reserved for an additional charge. A certified lifeguard must be present for each 25 people in the pool. Groups need to provide additional watchers. You may provide your own lifeguard(s) or we can provide waterfront staff for an additional charge. |
